sewing life savers!

sewing life savers!

I’ve been looking for a good website for free sewing patterns for a long time, and over time I have found two that exceeded my expectations. Patterns aren’t affordable, or in everybody’s budget, which makes it hard for some to enjoy the hobby to its fullest. I found that these blogs/sites had the most variety and quality of free patterns out of the many I have tried, and that they are (in my opinion) the most reliable. For both of these sites, if you sign up to their mailing list, they will email you printable PDF patterns and instructions, regularly. What a life saver !

#1 THREADS MONTHLY

I absolutely love the variety of patterns and tips Threads Monthly have on their website. The layout makes the site easy to use, while still looking aesthetically pleasing. I can’t even fathom how much time and effort the creator has had to put into the site to make it so flawless, so kudos to them! Threads Monthly has done a fantastic job putting together a community of creative people, who all love sewing, which in my eyes is beautiful. It is so amazing that people of all ages can bond over such a ‘niche’ hobby. I look forward to my free sewing pattern emails constantly!

#2 SEW CAN SHE

Sew Can She is another website/blog that I regularly use for sewing patterns. This site has quite literally everything from regular bag patterns to quilting, to some unique patterns. I signed up for the Sew Can She newsletter and I’m always excited to come home from school to a free printable PDF pattern. I admire the amount of time and thought the creator muster have put into their website, and as a blog creator myself, I know how dedicated one would have to be to create a site like theirs. Sew Can She is definitely one of my go to sites and in my opinion, a sewing essential everybody should try out!
